Cookie Policy

Last updated: 2 May 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Tourneon uses, why we use them, and how you can control them.

1. What is a cookie?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences (such as login session, language, or display choices) over a period of time. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, and IndexedDB, which we treat the same way for the purposes of consent.

2. Categories we use

2.1 Strictly necessary (always on)

Required for Tourneon to work. These cannot be turned off.

  • sb-*-auth-token — Supabase session cookie that keeps you signed in. First-party. Lifetime: 1 hour (refreshed on use).
  • tourneon-cookie-consent — stores your cookie-banner choice so we don't ask again. First-party. Lifetime: 6 months.

2.2 Functional & analytics (consent required)

Loaded only after you click "Accept all" or enable this category in cookie settings.

  • Google Maps Platform — used for address autocomplete when opening a club or editing club details. Sets cookies under google.com /maps.googleapis.com. Third-party; lifetime varies (typically up to 24 months). See Google's privacy policy.
  • Product analytics — aggregated usage signals (page views, feature usage) to improve Tourneon. We use first-party measurement and do not share data with advertising networks.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not allow third parties to drop tracking cookies through our pages.

3. How to manage your preferences

  • Use the "Manage cookies" link in our footer at any time.
  • Reject all non-essential cookies via the banner shown on your first visit.
  • Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Doing so may break sign-in.
  • The Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal is honoured: when your browser sends GPC, we treat it as a "Do Not Sell or Share" request — though as noted, we do not sell or share personal information for advertising in the first place.

4. Changes

If we add or change cookies materially, we will re-prompt you to update your consent.
